Adult Classes

  • Our Fundamentals Gi Class is designed to build a strong foundation in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by focusing on the essential techniques outlined in our structured blue belt curriculum. Ideal for beginners and white belts, this class covers core positions, escapes, submissions, and transitions in a step-by-step format. Students will gain a deep understanding of the fundamentals through drilling, positional training, and controlled sparring. Whether you're just starting your journey or looking to reinforce your basics, this class is the perfect path toward earning your blue belt and becoming a well-rounded practitioner.

  • Our Adult Gi Class is designed for students of all skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners. In this class, you’ll learn various aspects of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) while training in the traditional gi (uniform). Each session focuses on technical instruction, live drills, and controlled sparring to help you develop practical skills, improve fitness, and build confidence on and off the mat. Whether your goal is self-defense, competition, or personal growth, our Adult Gi Class provides a supportive and structured environment to help you thrive.

  • Our Adult No-Gi Class focuses on the fundamentals and advanced techniques of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu without the traditional Gi. Training in rash guards and shorts, students learn grips, controls, submissions, and transitions that rely on body positioning and leverage rather than gi-based holds. This class emphasizes speed, fluid movement, and adaptability, making it ideal for those interested in self-defense, MMA, or improving overall athleticism. Open to all experience levels, our No-Gi class offers a high-energy, supportive environment where you can sharpen your skills and build real-world grappling ability.

  • Open Gym is your time to train on your terms. During this session, students are welcome to use the mats for open rolling, drilling, or technique review, as well as access our fully equipped weight room for strength and conditioning work. Whether you're looking to sharpen your skills, get in a workout, or just move at your own pace, Open Gym provides a flexible space to support your training goals. All experience levels are welcome. This is a perfect time to try Jiu Jitsu for the very first time.

Kids Classes | Ages 4-14

  • Our Youth Grapplers Class (Ages 4–7) introduces young students to the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a fun, safe, and engaging environment. This class focuses on developing basic movements, coordination, balance, and listening skills through age-appropriate drills and games. Kids will learn beginner-level grappling positions, how to control their bodies, and how to respect their training partners—all while building confidence and discipline. Our goal is to create a positive first experience on the mats that lays the groundwork for future learning and a lifelong love of martial arts.

  • Our Junior Grapplers Class (Ages 8–14) is designed to help kids and pre-teens build confidence, discipline, and resilience through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Students in this class learn solid foundational techniques, including positions, escapes, submissions, and takedowns—alongside real-world self-defense skills. Training is structured to balance focused instruction, live drilling, and controlled sparring in a safe, supportive environment. Whether your child is brand new to martial arts or already has some experience, this class challenges them to grow physically and mentally while reinforcing important values like respect, perseverance, and teamwork. Students are welcome to train Gi or No Gi.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • You'll be welcomed by our coaches and introduced to the class format. You can expect regular warm-ups, drills, and technique work. You won’t be thrown into live sparring on the first day unless you feel comfortable—we focus on safety.

  • Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art built around the principle that a smaller person can defend themselves against a larger adversary using leverage, technique, and timing—not brute strength. It's a practical and proven system of self-defense that gives you the tools to stay safe, stay calm, and stay in control of your attacker.

Unlike striking-based martial arts, Jiu Jitsu teaches you how to close distance, neutralize threats, and safely subdue an attacker without causing unnecessary harm. It’s used by law enforcement, military, and everyday people alike because it works in the real world—not just in theory.

Today, Jiu Jitsu is one of the fastest-growing combat sports in the world, with tournaments held globally year round. So if you're looking to compete or just train for personal growth, the competitive side of Jiu Jitsu can add even more excitement to the journey.

  • Not at all! Our classes are beginner-friendly and designed to help you build strength, flexibility, and confidence over time—regardless of your current fitness level or experience.

  • Bring a water bottle, flip-flops (to wear off the mat), and a positive attitude. If you're using one of our loaner gis, be sure to bring a change of clothes for after class.

  • It depends on whether you're attending a Gi or No-Gi class:

    • Gi Class: If you don’t own a gi, we’ll provide a clean loaner for your first class. Wear comfortable athletic clothes underneath, like a rash guard or compression shirt and shorts.

    • No-Gi Class: Wear a fitted athletic top (like a rash guard or t-shirt) and shorts or leggings without zippers or pockets. Avoid loose clothing, as it can get tangled during training.
